About midwest maple

Maple sugaring has been a part of the Holoubek Family history, along with dairy farming, for four generations.  Dairy farming and maple sugaring have always been tied together in their family.  It was a hobby for the family having 60-75 buckets hanging from trees every other year to produce enough to share with family and friends.

Producing maple syrup the old fashion way, boiling on an open pan, took a lot of time their family farm could not afford to share.  In 2010, the family decided to expand their maple syrup production as a way of transitioning out of dairy farming.  Holoubek Farms Maple Syrup was officially born, expanding to 150 taps in 2010 and growing every year thereafter.  Expansion continued with the purchase of an evaporator, additional taps, and the building of the sugar house in 2011. Since then bulk tanks have been added to expand storage and the building expanded upon as we grow bigger to our current set up with our last addition of a cooling tank to add flexibility to our cooks.

Midwest maple IS BUILT UPON THE FOUNDATION OF FAMILY

TToday, Midwest Maple produces pure maple syrup by collecting from 5,700 taps and maintaining over 95.7 acres of Northern Wisconsin woodlands. Midwest Maple plans to further expand their maple syrup business while focusing on the sustainability of the woodlands they call home.  From tree to kitchen, our focus is on quality and taste to keep you enjoying nature’s natural sweetener.

Midwest Maple is an all-hands-on-deck operation and everyone does their part to ensure we meet our standard of quality. From setting up lines across 100 acres, to tapping, collection, and processing, there is always a job to be done in the woods.

The family shares responsibilities throughout the cooking, filtering, creaming, and bottling process, while marketing and sales for Midwest Maple is also shared by the family. The team at Midwest Maple is proud to say their family tradition has been going strong for four generations. Thank you for choosing Midwest Maple and for allowing our family the privilege of serving yours.
